Be the Light Initiative

For as long as I can remember, making a positive impact and creating a brighter future have been two of my major driving forces. I desire to be part of a world where each individual feels seen, heard, valued and loved. It is these driving forces that have motivated me to launch the Be the Light Initiative- aimed at creating a brighter, more inclusive, and more equal society. 

Eight21 Candle Co feels passionately about creating positive change especially for under-served and often ignored communities. We are passionate about the elimination of poverty, equal treatment for all under law, equal access to quality education, equal access to quality health care (including mental health) and equal rights for all groups regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious background, or socio-economic status.

Changing the world is a big endeavor. There is no way that we can achieve our goal of meaningful change on our own. For this reason, we have chosen to partner with community organizations who are already doing the work to create lasting change in our world- those led by individuals and groups who share our passion for equality, optimal health, and inclusion for all. By partnering with these organizations, we hope to be able to have a positive impact on our community, to be a voice for the voiceless, and to shine a light on those who for too long have existed in the shadows of society.
